      Creamy, fragrant, melting and above all tasty, the cheeses and dairy products from Bergerie du Brandais are real delights to discover in Vendée. Located in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire between Longeville-sur-Mer, Jard-sur-Mer and Les Sables-d'Olonne, Damien and Noémie are happy to share their love of the land and sheep at Bergerie du Brandais, a family business that delights you at any time of the year.       La Bergerie du Brandais, quality cheeses to be found in Vendée

      Cheese is a real treat to be enjoyed as a treat, on a slice of bread, accompanied by honey, jam or preserve depending on your desires. Soft cheese, pressed cheese, fromage blanc or fresh cheese, the cheeses from the Bergerie du Brandais are made from sheep's milk, a raw material from the farm from the Lacaune dairy breed. In total, nearly 400 sheep work on the farm, providing exceptional milk and dairy products with a unique taste. Sold by the piece, by weight or in trays, they can be enjoyed without hunger at any time of the day, a real pleasure that can be mild, full-bodied or even flavored with flowers. The quality of the cheeses from the Bergerie du Brandais has also been rewarded with 3 gold medals at the international competition in Lyon and by Gault & Millau in the 2024/2025 guide.

      La Bergerie du Brandais, an organic, sustainable and ethical breeding farm in Vendée

      In Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, Damien and Noémie raise and produce local products with a shared passion, that of the land and animals. Established since 2018 on their farm, they take care of their 400 sheep through a sustainable and ethical agricultural policy and compliance with the organic farming charter. The Bergerie spread over 80 hectares is made up of 90% meadows, vast spaces appreciated by the sheep which remain in pasture 8 months out of 12 in the year. At the Bergedie du Brandais, everything is done on site from breeding to production, and from processing to sale with stages that respect artisanal know-how and traditional methods . Surrounded by a cheesemaker, 2 saleswomen, a breeding expert and 2 apprentices, a committed and passionate team , Damien and Noémie have gold in their hands to develop quality sheep cheeses and exceptional sheep's milk products. Come and meet them, discover their world and watch the milking on Wednesdays between Easter and August. With family, friends or in a group, they are happy to welcome you to the Bergerie du Brandais.

      Where to find them? At the farm or at the markets:

      • Farm sales on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
      • A quarterly sale of beef and veal. Lamb meat at Easter. Lamb meat from May to December.
      • Les Sables-d'Olonne central market halls every Wednesday morning and Saturday all year round
      • Jard-sur-Mer market on Monday mornings
      • Longeville-sur-Mer market on Friday morning
      • Tranche-sur-Mer market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings

    An unmissable event for me at the slice sur mer market on Tuesday and Saturday morning...we find Maeva there, the charming and kind saleswoman...very beautiful display of fresh cheese, particularly our favorite, fresh sheep's milk cheese. with different spices...I recommend
