  The food was nice but overpriced. The set menu option meant paying €13 for a desert which was rediculous

  The restaurant is located in a former dairy, at the east exit of Talmont, easy sidewalk parking, and access ramp for the disabled. Smiling and professional welcome.☺ A lilac and gray decoration (like a farm near Olonne), spaced tables so privacy is respected, and a view below over the wooded garden and the lake (path inaccessible from the restaurant... unfortunately). We took the local menu for €37. As a starter, Foie gras with cocoa nibs crust, in dishes Vendée lamb, fine ratatouille flavored tart, rare lamb as specified and fish of the day (mullet risotto). Original desserts and excellent presentation: Mangaro chocolate tart from Madagascar (copious) and Cherry on the baba (see photos). They say that a good restaurant also means good homemade desserts! From appetizers to desserts, the dishes are refined, nothing to complain about except the quantity is a little tight, especially the accompaniments! The dishes are made with local products (list on the menu). Wine list with a good choice, and selection of wines by the glass. The young, beginner waiter is not very comfortable serving the wine and misses the flick of the wrist to avoid dripping! Recommended for the chef's cuisine and the calm.
