    • For a more complete immersion in the medieval era, the castle offers activities for children starting with the Egg Hunt on March 31 and April 1!

During the spring holidays, you will have the opportunity to try a treasure hunt, follow visits, activities and, new for 2024, attend demonstrations of birds of prey in free flight!

You will also find new activities for children during the Medieval Festival on Pentecost Sunday and during the European Archeology Days on June 15 & 16.

In summer, guided tours will immerse you in the past ! Four chivalry and falconry shows are staged every day! You will even have the opportunity to discover a mini-farm from the Middle Ages, dress up as in the times, shoot a crossbow and even try your hand at the art of writing: there is something for all tastes and all ages!

Finally, in autumn, come and take advantage of the activities offered during the European Heritage Days on September 21 & 22 and the Murder Party (from October 21 to November 5) to become keen investigators and find the murderer of the castle!

A very old castle, which focuses its tourism upon its time ruled by King Richard I. A fantastic place with, shows, kids events and freedom to walk about. While no means large, it's quaint, fun and everyone seems to relish working there.

A great castle - but that is easy for me to say as i just like ' old stuff'. The site is clearly set up for spectacular re-enactments, but for us on Saturday was just a regular castle. It sounds patronising, buf it is always beneficial to see history from someone else's perspective. Perhaps I'm just easily impressed. A (reported) fact in passing: Richard the Lionheart could speak English. But that apart - see the castle!

Nice show, telling the historical story about the castle and its king. Small downside if you're not into French: the whole story is told in French. Further, you can actively play old games from the age of knights and have a look at the castle. Prices are ok seen the activities you can enjoy.
