    • Château de Talmont, an emblematic site of medieval architectural history, is now a listed historic monument.


      Open from April to November, the château reveals its secrets through a variety of activities.

      From July 8 to August 30, Monday to Friday, discover the spectacular destinies of the fortress's most illustrious occupants through a variety of shows, including Talmont in the Age of Knights, and Les Faucons d'Aliénor (Eleanor's Falcons). Step into the shoes of our ancestors with medieval workshops (costumes, calligraphy, crossbow, medieval mini-farm) and guided tours. Nocturnes on Tuesday (or Thursday) evenings by prior arrangement.

    Great experience. Very informative guided tour. The bird show is nice with the birds flying above our heads. As for the show with the horses, it explains the life of King Richard the Lionheart well. We learn a lot from the narrator. A little introduction to the crossbow. A great afternoon.

    A very successful restoration in every way considering the fact that I knew it in 1965 when I was a kid, on vacation, in a very advanced state of ruin and disrepair. Little known site, but a must see.
