La Crêpouse Pancake in La Tranche-sur-Mer

The restaurant La Crêpouse is located in the Grière district in the town of La Tranche-sur-Mer at the gates of the ocean and close to other shops but spared from the hustle and bustle of the city center with the possibility of parking free of charge not far from the restaurant. The establishment opens its doors 7 days a week during the months of July and August and 5 days a week in mid season with closing days on Mondays and Tuesdays knowing that these days may vary depending on the public holidays during which the doors will be systematically open.

La Crêpouse specializes in making classic and special buckwheat pancakes as well as mussels and fries during the latter's fishing season . The establishment also offers oysters , different salads and seafood products depending on daily arrivals . The meat eaters are not left out because a limited but qualitative menu in this area ranging from the butcher's p!ce to the chef's beef tartare through the essential entrecôte, without forgetting now our Vendée burger made by our chef. All our beef comes from meat breeds (Charolaise, Limousine, etc.) and comes from exclusively French agriculture. And all this enhanced by regular suggestions offered on the slate.

This establishment aims to be pleasant, family-friendly and friendly, highlighting the essentials which are the quality of the products offered as well as “homemade” products on demand and leaving the superfluous for others.

The suppliers are essentially local since the mussels and oysters come from Aiguillon sur Mer (10km) , they are produced and supplied by Magalie and Manu from “Viviers de la Baie”, also having their point of sale in La Grière . Fruit and vegetables also come from distributors located in the neighborhood which are “L’Inspecteur Cagette” and “Le Panier Tranchais” , these sourcing exclusively from market gardeners in the Pays de La Loire . The meat, rigorously selected by the owners, is all from French production of “meat breed” beef with the highlight being the perfect Charolais from Bourbon-l’Archambault (03) , heart of the Charolais country , and first Label Rouge in France in beef, exclusive recipe (protected) for this breed made by CONVIVIAL.

As for desserts, the restaurant only offers “homemade” desserts, including gourmet coffees, all made from quality raw materials . For example, all vanilla-based desserts are prepared with real, high-quality Madagascar vanilla and not with industrial vanilla extract as is often the case, even for a simple crème brûlée which becomes a refined dish thanks to this exceptional product imported by a small local structure from this corner of the world which is “RAJAOTRADES VANILLE” based in Luçon , also a supplier of exceptional spices.

Same policy for wines and spirits which come from the “COCHAIN cellar”, a producer-harvester and trader whose point of sale is located 100m from the restaurant.
