The Castle of Commequiers is an old fortified castle from the 11th century. It is a very romantic area. Placed on a mound and surrounded by its moats still in water, it seems to float on the water. The hill is wooded and forms a green setting. Its 8 stone towers give it an imposing character, reminiscent of its military function. The site is closed to the public, but you will take a bucolic walk there.
