In the Vendée countryside in the Heart of Vendée, halfway between Les Sables-d'Olonne and La Roche-sur-Yon, Coëx is a charming town. In a peaceful and authentic living environment, it is the ideal place for those looking to get away from the urban hustle and bustle while enjoying the assets of the Vendée.
A bit of history and geography
Its name comes from the Cetic “coët” which means “wood” or “wooded place”. This etymology reflects the rural and green character of the town. Coëx is surrounded by three lakes and is located about ten kilometers from the beaches of the Côte de Lumière, such as those of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
This proximity to the main towns of Vendée and the Atlantic coast facilitates access to nautical activities, amusement parks (Puy du Fou ) and cultural visits to the region.
