Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie is the headquarters of the workshops of a famous brand of products made from sardines: the Pearl of the Gods. The fish are caught off the coast of Vendée, then boxed on site. The Sardine workshop is a museum dedicated to this emblematic seafood product from the Vendée. You will discover there all sorts of information on sardine fishing, its history, anecdotes, selection criteria… Admission to the museum is free and the visit includes a tasting. Only the guided tour is chargeable, but at a low price.
