Leisure centres, swimming pools and water parks in Vendée

You want to enjoy the pleasures of water in Vendée, but you want a change from the sea? There are many bodies of fresh water, and also swimming pools in the heart of the Vendée lands. These are favorite sites for families, because you will find activities for all ages and very nice entertainment in the summer season and sometimes more. 1) O'Gliss Park

The O'Gliss Park is a large water leisure park, located in the town of Le Bernard, about twenty minutes from Luçon by car. It is located in the Marais Poitevin Natural Park. You will appreciate its giant slides and its artificial beach of fine sand to relax. With its heated swimming pool, its supervised bathing area, its paddling pool and its playground, families with young children are well received here.

2) Atlantic Wake Park

The Atlantic Wake Park is a site surrounded by nature, at the mouth of the Lay, on the southern coast of Vendée. It is located in the town of Aiguillon-sur-Mer, just 5 minutes from La-Faute-sur-Mer. It is a favorite site for athletes. You will practice sliding sports, such as Wake Board, surfing towed by a boat. You can also go waterskiing here. And why not try the Knee Board, water skiing on your knees. Inflatable structures are also at your disposal to carry out “warrior games” or “splash-games” type courses.

3) The Atlantic Toboggan

If you are still hesitating between fresh water and sea water, the Atlantic Toboggan is the place to go. This leisure area by the ocean, in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, has heated pools, a river with buoys, a wave pool and jacuzzis. The slides are impressive to fill up with thrills.

4) The Aqua°Bulles Aquatic Center

Aqua Bulles is a swimming pool, in Saint-Fulgent, in the Haut Bocage Vendéen. It is the ideal place to learn to swim to the youngest. There is even a "baby swimmer" activity for a first contact with water. It offers swimming lessons, but also sports activities such as aquabike, pilates or fitness in the water. You will get back into shape gently.

5) The Aqualonne Aquatic Center

Aqualonne is an aquatic center near Les Sables d'Olonne. It will satisfy the whole family, with its paddling pools and slides. Children will be able to discover swimming, while having fun. It is very convenient for those who may be impressed by the first sea baths.

6) The Aquatic Center of the Pays de Pouzauges

The Aquatic Center of the Pays de Pouzaugues is divided into three large areas, to meet all your desires. Sports pools 25 meters long will allow you to train and beat your own records. The water park is very pleasant for family fun. The Nordic pool is favored for fitness.

7) Le Cap Aquatic Complex

It is in the heart of the Vendée, in La-Roche-sur-Yon, that the Aquatic Complex Le Cap is located. Very close to the city, it allows residents and tourists to enjoy the pleasures of water in an urban environment. Its uneven river is very original. There is also a wellness and aquatic fitness area.

8) The Embankment swimming pool

The Remblai swimming pool was built on the edge of the ocean, in the seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne. It is a wellness centre, with a large swimming pool, spa, jacuzzi and hammam. 9) Recreation area of Lac de Chassenon

The Espace de loisirs du Lac de Chassenon is located just 20 minutes from Vouvant, on the outskirts of the Marais Poitevin Natural Park. This leisure base benefits from a natural environment conducive to relaxation. For families, there are all kinds of activities: water slides, swimming area and paddling pools, bar and terrace on the edge of the sandy beach.

10) The Bretonnière swimming pool
