ORIGINAL VÉLO TOUR, A DAY DISCOVERY OF THE MARAIS POITEVIN AND ONE OF ITS ABBEYS IN A GROUP DEPARTING FROM MAILLEZAIS
Every Tuesday and Friday between April 1 and September 30 , enjoy a day in the Marais Poitevin, between La Rochelle, Niort and Fontenay-Le-Comte, to discover Maillezais and its canals.
The route begins at the abbey car park, to get to the heart of the matter with Damien, the guide who accompanies you throughout the walk. Start by sailing for an hour along the water on a traditional boat , before visiting one of the founding abbeys of the Marais Poitevin. Then, get on the bikes for a 7 km ride (14 km round trip for the day) towards the charming village of Maillé. After the effort, comfort. Enjoy a picnic of local produce on the banks of the Sèvre Niortaise.
At the end of the day, you will be rewarded with a visit to a craft brewery with an abbey beer tasting. With family, friends, colleagues, book quickly this day trip accessible to all levels.
